Travel Signature

A travel signature on your DS-2019 is required for re-entry into the United States after international travel. This signature, provided by E2C, confirms that you are maintaining valid J-1 status.

Travel signatures are valid for one year from the date they are issued and allow for multiple entries into the U.S. within that period. However, if your travel signature has expired, you must request a new one before traveling to avoid potential re-entry issues.

To obtain a new travel signature, submit a request to E2C well in advance of your departure. Processing times may vary, so it’s important to plan ahead.
